NEWBURY BRANCH EVENT
Victoria Park Newbury

Newbury Waterways Festival

Our annual gala of boats and activities for all the family. Our theme this year is “Reach for the Skies” to celebrate the centenary of the formation of the Royal Air Force and the 80th anniversary of the Spitfire. We are looking forward to the interpretation of this by our flotilla of boats moored alongside Victoria Park. A trophy will be awarded to the best dressed boat on Sunday morning.

In addition to the many boats, there will be some water based activities throughout the day, a host of trade and craft stalls, live entertainment from the Crofton Stokers, face painting, children’s rides, many eating outlets and a beer tent and much more. The Trust’s trip boat Jubilee will be running several trips between 11.30 and 16.30. Plus, not to be missed, will be our famous Newbury Duck Race at 16.15, with the Festival closing at 16.30.
