School visits and learning at Crofton Beam Engines
At Crofton, we have a developing range of resources and support for schools, including both on-site and outreach opportunities. Based on the 2014 National Curriculum standards, our sessions cover national and local history, geography, and STEM subjects.
Bradford on Avon school trips
Barbara McLellan can offer a 1.5 hour trip to schools and young people’s groups such as Brownies and Cubs at an attractive rate.
Youth group boat hire in Bedwyn
Our narrow beam boat, Lady Hilda, based in Bedwyn, is available for hire by community groups such as Guides, Scouts or similar organisations.
Workshops and boat trips with CRT Explorers
We can host school groups on Jubilee, our boat in Newbury Wharf and Kenavon Venture in Devizes. You can find out more information through the Canals and Rivers Trust Explorers programme which includes workshop ideas and links to the curriculum.
